• CAMELFORD Town Council are hosting a Pumpkins on Parade event at the The Library this coming Saturday (October 29).
With judging getting underway at 2.30pm, entrants are encouraged to bring their pumpkins along from 1pm.
Prizes will be on offer for those finishing first, second and third while there will be plenty of scary stories and crafts to keep you entertained.
• Penhale Pantry will be hosting its first pumpkin picking event acrss the half term, allowing famies to pick pumpkins, enjoy “spooky hot chocolates” and seasonal pumpkin soup to kick off the Hallowe’en festivities.

• Join The Charles Causley Festival from 6pm to 9pm at Launceston Town Hall on October 28 for a ghostly town walk, tales of witchcraft and folklore, ghostly music and poems!
The Hallowe’en evening will feature folksinger Jim Causley, Paranormal Investigator Karin Beasant and the Jamaica Inn Paranormal team, Simon Costin from Dockacre House and the Witchcraft Museum at Boscastle, and Folklore expert Mark Norman.
The ghostly town walk will begin at 6pm at the town hall and will last approximately 90 minutes. Then at 8pm, there will be performances of Charles Causley’s ghostly poems set to music by Jim Causley, a talk from Simon Costin about witchcraft and his work at Dockacre House and discussion from the folklore society’s Mark Norman. Refreshments will be available at Launceston Town Hall bar. Tickets: Ghostly town walk – £5; Evening of talks, readings and music – £5; Or attend both events for £7.50
• Looe Library and Community Hub are hosting two Hallowe’en craft sessions on Thursday, October 27. It will cost £1 per child. There are still spaces available for the 2.30pm session. Phone or pop in to reserve a space – 01503 262390.
• The Dark Gathering 2022 (or All Hallows Gathering 2022) takes place at the upper overflow car park in Boscastle on Saturday, October 29, from 2pm to 8pm.
It will be an afternoon and night of dark dance and music, folklore and horse skulls and is suitable for anyone who loves Halloween, tradition, the occult and meeting warm and welcoming folk for a unique event
Meet in the upper overflow car park, Boscastle, near Tintagel. Price: £10.
• Holsworthy Mutual Aid will be hosting the biggest free family Halowe’en party in town. There will be food, games and surprises as well as prizes for the best costume.
Held in the Memorial Hall on October 31 from 4.30pm to 7pm. Limited free tickets available from The White Hart, Holsworthy.
• Come on down to The Millennium House with DJ Bezzah for an amazing Halloween Party!
Fancy dress is very much encouraged so bring out your best costumes! Entrance is to be paid in cash on the door. Adults are £5, children are £2 and family tickets are £12. A family ticket covers 2 adults and up to 3 children.
Last entry is at 10pm so arrive with some time to spare. Plenty of free parking is available behind The Millennium House
