The Torpoint pantomime, 'Merlin and the Untold Legend' has not been very magical for the amateur dramatic group The Torpoint Players. Their planned public performances had to be postponed for a month due to a flu bug wiping out the entire cast. This has been compounded possibly by someone saying 'good luck' to the cast instead of the time old tradition of 'break a leg' – as that is virtually what happened.

Two performers turned up for the dress rehearsal in plaster casts, one with a broken ankle and another with a fractured wrist.

In true showbiz fashion, however, the show will go on and the pantomime will play at the town hall on March 4, 5 and 6 at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.
