The letter published in the Cornish Times last week from Roger James, Oxfam SW Campaigns, is yet another instance of the one-sided global warming campaign the public is being subjected to.

Most readers of this newspaper will know of David Bellamy whose face was rarely off our TV screens in the 1980s.

This most-respected and renowned botanist claims that he has been blacklisted by the BBC and ITV from appearing on TV, as he has extremely strong views on global warming.

In essence, he claims that it does not exist and any warming there has been was not caused by CO2.

He also claims that during the very warm period in the Middle Ages very little CO2 was emitted so any change in climate over the ages is natural.

He also confirms what many leading scientists are now reporting that global temperatures last peaked in 1998 and have been declining since then and the Arctic ice caps are now increasing.

In a recent press interview, he stated that 'the global warmers are telling lies' and that among others Al Gore 'got it all wrong'.

This Government is happy to back any publicity and throw money at scientists for any projects that mention global warming.

I am certain that if a person of the stature of Dr Bellamy was given a slot on primetime TV, more people would realise how gullible they are to be continually brainwashed by the Government and other organisations into accepting unachievable green targets and unpopular green taxation in the belief that they are saving the planet.
