MEMBERS of the Eden Project visited Liskeard last week to drum up support for its £50m Lottery bid to build the Edge. Funding for the project will come from the Big Lottery Fund's: The People's £50 Million Contest if staff from Eden are succesful in the competition, which goes to the public vote next month. The United Nations, Oxfam, Christian Aid and WaterAid have all pledged their support for The Edge which is up against three other UK competitors. However, staff at the attraction are also after Cornwall's backing, and were in Liskeard making people aware that telephone voting begins on December 7 after a series of ITV programmes. The Eden Project has also teamed up with Trewidland Dairy, to put 3,000 stickers on bottle tops asking the people of Cornwall to vote for Eden. Internet voting has already begun and you can support Eden's bid by logging on to http://www.the">www.the peoples50million.org.uk
