The Ballad of the Bin-bag

I am a bin-bag checker,

I've inspected every scrap

Of waste you have discarded.

I am a filthy chap.

You must not put your garden waste

With your boxes and old papers,

'Cos, us in the Council Inspectors

Will catch you at your capers.

We love our jobs, we really do,

The best job in the land,

It gives us lots of pleasure,

To pull out contraband.

Never mind important matters:

FREE Parking or CCTV,

The Council will expose your junk,

For all the world to see.

So, you be warned, you dirty lot,

And heed this little tale:

Put grass cuttings in the bag

And you'll end up in jail.
