Saltash Foodbank and its volunteers have been formally thanked by the Town Council for their work in the town and wider area.

In a presentation to Town Council members, Foodbank chairman Mark Hawker explained how the Saltash centre, now at 18 Belle Vue Road, has helped many adults and children in the four years since it opened.

The Foodbank now has 30 volunteers on its rota, he added.

Mayor Hilary Frank presented a certificate to Mr Hawker on behalf of the council, thanking the Foodbank volunteers.
