This game should have been played as a Cornwall Junior Cup first round tie but Roseland arrived too late for a full 80 minutes to be played. In the circumstances it was agreed to play the game as a 30 minutes each way friendly.
The home side dominated the first half and should have had a comfortable lead at the interval but instead they gifted their visitors with a try scored by Jack Tomlinson, converted by Steve Hooper. In the second session Roseland put Lankelly under great pressure but the Fowey side held firm and scrum half Rob Taylor kicked a penalty but it was to no avail.
