A TV hit filmed in South East Cornwall returns for a second series beginning tonight (Friday).

Its star, Dawn French, says it’s all down to the public reaction to the debut of the drama Delicious, based around the hotel business founded by celebrity chef Leo (Iain Glen) and his wife Sam (Emilia Fox).

Viewers soon learned that Leo was having an affair with Dawn French’s character – his first wife Gina, a talented cook from whom he stole many of his recipes.

‘The reaction to the first series was great,’ said Dawn, who has a home at Fowey.

‘What I didn’t know about the show was that it would be so lush.’

The Sky One romantic drama series filmed at Pentillie Castle and other locations in the Tamar Valley.
