Saltash Tuesday Circle, which meets every Tuesday evening at Saltash Wesley rooms, began their year with a devotional evening when Supt Methodist minister, Rev Ian Souter, was the speaker.

Marjorie Drew spoke on her holiday in Crete while Amy Farnsworth presided. The club's birthday was celebrated when Marguerite and Martyn Smith organised games and quizzes, followed by a supper. Other speakers have included Jill Souter, who outlined a talk on her experiences as a nurse in India, while Gordon Banks of the Church Army concentrated on the origin and meaning of Candlemass. A talk on her holiday in Australia and New Zealand was given by Mrs G Norris, and Rita Stevenson organised a special evening for Valentine's Day. For this Irene Ballantyne made an arrangement of flowers and chocolate hearts.
