EAST Cornwall students were among those from schools and colleges across the county taking part in the Cornwall Schools' Combined Event Champion-ships, held at Par Running Track, near St Austell.

More than two hundred youngsters competed in the annual event, which was organised by Cornwall College St Austell to raise the profile of athletics among youngsters and actively encourage and support them to get involved.
