STUDENTS and staff of Looe Community School recently attended an event at the Hall for Cornwall, Truro, organised by Creative Partnerships to celebrate the creativity among Cornwall's schools. Looe showed their work on a special website for, and by, dyslexic people, and a group of boys from the school performed dance specially created by choreographer Banksy. Each spoke abut their experiences of creative projects with Creative Partnerships and The Works. The new chair of Arts Council England, Sir Christopher Frayling, was full of praise for everything he had seen. 'The self confidence and self esteem on show here speaks volumes about the value of creativity in education. For young people to be able to present themselves and their work in such a professional manner is extraordinary,' he said.
