An open day was held at Cornwall College Saltash to give prospective students of all ages a chance to explore the college and its resources. Those who attended were able to get a feel for student life when they met staff and students while visiting the various departments. This gave them the opportunity of gathering information from the tutors on the range of courses and specialist facilities available at the college. Steve Warnes, head of the college, explained: 'It is important that students and parents know about the many different education and training opportunities available.' The college offers both full and part-time courses in art and design, beauty and complimentary therapies, business and professional, child care and early years, computing and IT, and construction, as well as hairdressing and health care, foundation studies, apprenticeships and higher education degrees.
