December proved a tricky month for motorists trying to negotiate animals straying on to the roads in South East Cornwall, according to police.
Police are now urging farmers to ensure their animals do not stray from fields on to the highway. This follows reports of animals loose on the A38 between Carkeel and Landrake, at Notter Bridge near Tideford and on the A388 near St Mellion. A sheep also escaped on to a road near Callington, and bullocks as well as a mare and a young foal have been reported on the A38 between Trago Mills and Bodmin Parkway.
