Cornwall Council is staging three special events during November to give people with special educational needs or a disability (SEND), those with a family member with SEND and those who work with children and young people with SEND the opportunity to share their experiences of what it means to live in Cornwall.
The Council wants to hear the experiences and views of different people and groups with experience of living or working with special educational needs or a disability to help identify which services they feel are important to keep the same and which they would like to see changed.
’We want to hear from as many different groups and people as possible so we can draw together a shared understanding of SEND in Cornwall,’ said Andrew Wallis, the Council’s leader member for young people. ’This will give us a clear view of what happens next.’
The Council is staging three informal events which are open to anyone who has an interest in SEND. The two closest to South East Cornwall are are taking place on Wednesday, November 9, Pavilion Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, and Friday, November 25 at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre, RCH Treliske, Truro.
Both are taking place between 10am and 12 noon.
Anyone in interested in attending can book their place by visiting www.cornwall.gov.uk/sendevents, by emailing [email protected] or phoning 01872 327439
