SAM Richards, a sixth form student attending Liskeard School and Community College has returned from a ten day NASA Space Experience to the Johnson and Kennedy Space Centres in America. The visit was run by the International Space School Educational Trust and involved Saw submitting a 'space' project to the team. Sam flew from London to Houston and then onwards to Florida. The visit allowed him to meet astronauts, talk about their experiences in space, speak with scientists and space engineers, as well as gain an inside view about all the human space programmes, both current and historical. Sam hopes for a career that will involve some aspect of space travel and is currently studying chemistry, physics, maths and further maths at A Level, and hopes to go on to university. Sam said: 'I gained a lot of experience from the visit and I know that it will help me in the future.'
