Liskeard’s one-day live music festival has had to be cancelled because of poor weather.

The Ploughman’s Festival, the sixth to take place, had been set to be held in Westbourne Gardens on Saturday.

But with wind heavy rain forecast for tomorrow, organisers could not risk the site turning into a mud bath ahead of the event - or the safety of volunteers and contractors.

A produce market will still go ahead on The Parade as well as a live performance fro Dance Republic’s Icarus and a ukulele workshop. The food and drink part of the festival in the town centre will run from 10am - 2pm.
