Since my original letter begging Looe to be saved from Tesco, I have been so impressed by the numerous letters showing such knowledge and depth of understanding of the detrimental effects of these monstrosities, many of which had not properly occurred to me in my anxiety to protect Kilminorth Woods and Looe's beautiful rivers from the noise, ugliness and pollution by heavy traffic and "urbanisation" in such close proximity.

Having read the touching sincerity of Mrs Edmondson's letter and her clear appreciation of how the whole character of this much loved place would be changed forever, and Mr Tamblin's realisation of the need to "support our own folks," their excellent small businesses and the local people who supply them, I feel very humble and very thankful that so many enlightened people have their values right.
