Members of St Dominick Slimming Club have donated £1,000 towards providing artificial limbs for a toddler.

The money was donated to the Handstand Appeal, a charity set up to provide artificial limbs for Marshall Janson, who had his hands and legs amputated after contracting meningitis in 2008.

Marshall travelled to St Dominick with members of his family to collect the cheque at a tea party held by the club.
