With 11 teams competing in each division, four teams receive byes. Therefore, a charity front pin competition has been arranged to be held on a weekly basis each Thursday at Liskeard Sports Club. After each team of eight bowled five legs, the results were as follows:

Hits and Misses (Division One), 219 pins; Terriers (Division Two), 246 pins; Tri-Ards (Division Three), 179 pins; Flyers (Division Four), 205 pins.

Best-so-far

Men's highest score - Bert James (Misfits) and Geoff Craven (Crickets), 83 pins.

Ladies' highest score - Pat Parsons (Ladybirds), 81 pins.

Men's highest spare - Bert James (Misfits), 23 pins.

Ladies' highest spare - Pat Parsons (Ladybirds), Eilleen Swain (Woodentops), Margaret Durkin (Hobos) and Margaret Edwards (Edwardians), 17 pins.
