Division One - Barley Oats outplayed by powerful Jets

All six Division One points came the Jets way as they completed the double over the Barley Oats. It put them in a comfortable spot near the top of table while those Barley Oats must feel disappointed with their start to the New Year.

The Londoners creep away from the relegation zone following their visit to the Pensilva Rebels where they won both halves to collect all six points with a 21-pin majority.

Top place Hits and Misses held a nine pin lead at the half way stage in their home game with the Bulldogs. However, the visitors got the better of the remaining four legs, and in a close finish the Hits and Misses held on to grab the total by two pins and a 4-2 points win.

Cast-Offs made a spirited recovery in the final four legs to rescue two points in their home game versus Legion Misfits, who stay in mid-way spot in the table with their four points.

Division Two - Legionaires collect much needed points

Sitting at the bottom of Division Two, points just had to come the Legionaires' way to make their position look healthier In their home game versus the Woodentops they did just that, getting the better of both halves, collecting all six points at stake.

Six points were also gained by Burley Booties in their title chasing role, where at home they easily got the better of the Seccombes who need to show an improvement to steer away from the relegation zone.

Ditchers were trailing by 33 pins at the half-way stage at Duloe, where the Marquees were the host team. Although the visitors just got the better of the remaining four legs the Marquees held on to record a 4-2 point win. 4-2 was the end result of the Terriers versus Crickets game, also at Duloe, which showed a home win by seven pins. In a cancelled Christmas fixture the Marketeers got the better of Marquees by seven pins resulting in a 4-2 point victory.

Division Three - Rally on target

Just three results from division three and in all three games it ended in maximum wins. At Lanreath the Rally team of eight got the better of a Hilltops eight, who have shone lately, but couldn't perform on this alley.

Foxes visited the Tri-ards at Treburley and returned to Morval, happy with six points in the bag, winning both halves, where the home sides only effort was in the first four legs, failing by two pins.

Also at Treburley Social club the Demons who have shown an improvement lately were unable to shine here, allowing the Four x 4's, currently on top of the table, to easily pick up six valuable points.

Division Four - Flyers in control

Four results in from Division Four where all games resulted in maximum 6-0 wins. First to mention has to be the Flyers who scored well with 511 pins total, overhauling the Thrashers on their home alley by 48 pins.

Linedancers must feel disappointed on their home alley as they were unable to match those title chasing Circles at the British Legion. Circles easily won both halves and a 53 pins over all majority

At Pensilva the division leaders - Millers, looking for promotion next season did the double over the visiting Ladybirds, where try as they might, could only match their pinfall from the previous encounter in September. The Socialites determined to gain promotion next season, disappointed on their home alley at Callington Social Club, allowing the visiting Victorians to grab all six points which made their long trip from Roche all worthwhile.
