Division One
The first half of all league fixtures in the four divisions should have now been completed and congratulations to all division one teams with 100% records. Division Three is just one result adrift, but some division two and four team captains could help the secretary and get those outstanding games played and forward the result sheets to him as soon as possible.
Alison Cox (Barley Oats) made headlines last week with a high 90 pins score to top the ladies high score, but going literally better for the Demons Pamela Sullivan knocked over 91 pins ensuring her teams maximum win over the Nomads.
Bulldogs ended their first half fixtures with a fine win over the Jets and with the six points gained rise to third spot well in contention with the leaders. Right on their tail are the Hotshots who also scored a worthy home win over the Rebels where 52 pins was the final pin fall gap.
In the game between Misfits and Callington the scoring could not have been more evenly matched as at the end of four legs the Misfits held a one pin advantage. The second four legs both teams accounted for 229 pins which meant a result sheet with a five points to one point in Misfits favour on the final ball, what a finish, good skittling!
Hits and Misses increased the gap at the top of the table with a four to two point win over the Londoners at St Neot where just 10 pins was the difference there. The Cast-Offs held a 23 pins lead at half time in their away game versus the Edwardians at LBC, however the home side staged a recovery to rescue two points completing their first 10 games.

Division Two
Marketeers 6 Sandpipers 0, that was the result of this Divison Two encounter at Dobsons last week showing the Marketeers registering their first maximum win this season. It was quite convincing as they won both halves comfortably against a below par Sandpipers team, who could only account for 463 pins.
A closer game at British Legion saw Terriers taking all six points from their opponent the Legionaires where 20 pins was the gap at the end.

Division Three
Sitting near the bottom of Division Three and finding pins and points hard to come by Demons did the business against visiting Nomads. As mentioned previously Pam Sullivan's 91 pins played a big part in this their six points win.
Hilltops travelled to Roche and led by 48 pins after all 16 players had bowled 12 balls each. They went on to add a furthers 23 pins, thus taking all six points on a night where the Clementines disappointed on their home alley.
High riding Madhatters figured in a close home game with the Rally team from Lanreath who got the better of both halves add six more points to their total.
In their final first half games the stable mates Growlers and Tri-Ards met at their Treburley Social Club, Growlers were 11 pins ahead at half time, but were unable to keep their score rate up, when the Tri-Ards showed an improvement ending up four to two point winners with a 31 pins majority thanks mainly to Cindy Wills and her 80 pins.
Demons 499 pins (251 + 248) - Pam Sullivan, 91 pins. Nomads 484 pins (238 + 246) - Carol Ball, 65 pins.

Division Four
Look-out Division One teams if you have to meet any of these top division four teams as their pinfalls match the higher division teams. Take the Socialites who accounted for no less than 523 pins enabling them to grab all six points, with 32 pins majority over highriding Circles.
The Flyers with their captain Ivor Whale's 82 pins outplayed alleymates Ramblers at Linkinhorne where ironically 82 pins was the vast majority ending a successful first half to their first year of skittling.
The Thrashers were unable to get to grips with the alley at Pensilva allowing the division four leaders Millers to add six more points to their total, as they ended up with a 74 pin majority.
Just 15 pins was the overall difference at the final ball, but showed a worthy win for the Line Dancers over the Breakaways also at Pensilva.
Well done the lowly placed Bilge Rats who held a first half lead and despite their opponents Victorians second half improvement held on to end up winners four points to two.
