CORNWALL found little difficulty in coming away with a victory at Dorset to start their South West Counties Championship campaign. The Duchy quickly went 3-0 up, only for Dorset to produce a spirited fight back to score twice, the first a wicked deflection off Janine Butterly and the second a free kick. With 17-year-old goalkeeper Carley Barber showing a safe pair of hands behind defenders Lisa Hegerty and Janine Butterly, Cornwall never looked in trouble again. Holly Sandow scored a well taken hat trick, Plymouth Argyle midfielder Kay Lewis helped herself to a brace, with Candy Hopson scoring the other. Cornwall's next match is against Gloucestershire in November.
