A group of women who sang nonstop for 12 hours have raised £1,000 for a local good cause.

It was the 25th annual Singathon for the Torpoint Lady Singers and their chosen beneficiary for this year was the YMCA Torpoint Onside, a club that promotes health and confidence for young people through sport.

During the Singathon there was a helping hand from fellow local choir, the Ferryboaters, who took over for a while to give the women’s vocal chords a break.
