The ‘Keep Torpoint Clean Team’ have been shocked at some of the items discarded by people in the town, says mayor Mike Pearn. On a clean-up in the woods along the edge of Trevol Road, the team collected seven bags of general litter, as well as several large items which had been fly-tipped. ‘It’s obvious that there is some regular dumping going on in there,’ said Cllr Pearn. ‘A large plastic toy car found by volunteers was still in fairly good condition and could still be used if it was cleaned up. It’s unbelievable!’
