THE hunt is on in Cornwall for a punter who has won a Lotto prize of £66,724 but has yet to claim the money.

National Lottery players are being urged to check their tickets.

The owner of the winning ticket matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on Saturday, March 3. The winning Lotto numbers on that date were 7, 20, 23, 28, 31, 40 and the bonus ball was 42. The ticket-holder has until 5.30pm on Thursday, August 30, to claim the prize. 

A National Lottery spokesperson said: 'We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody's life. We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.' 

The ticket was bought in the Restormel district on the same day that the World Pasty Championships were held at the Eden Project. Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye topped the UK singles chart, while Adele was at the top of the album charts with 21.
