SALTASH Scouts are operating a postal service in the town, delivering Christmas cards by hand. Various shops have post boxes on their premises for cards to be posted and will be delivered to addresses within the town before Christmas. The Scouts Postal service ends on December 16 to allow for sorting and delivery. Post boxes are in the following shops: Piglets, Saltash Radio, Tony Barry Newsagent (all in Fore Street) also Polnoon Pasties (Callington Road), Hodge News, (St Stephen's) and Spar shop at More Park. Scout have been providing this service for many years and funds will help towards the new Scout Headquarters at Latchbrook, Saltash. The Scouts' present headquarters at Windsor Lane are more than 40 years old.
