THREE Saltash Cub Scouts gained their Chief Scout Silver Awards badges last week. Paul Duncan, Sam Ridley and Humphrey Shotton of the second Saltash Yellow Pack are the first Cubs of this pack to gain the awards, presented to them at the Scout Headquarters, Windsor Lane, Saltash, To achieve their badges the trio had to gain three other challenge badges, as well as completing a personal challenge. For this they organised a Pack Halloween party, while the boys have also made major improvements in their swimming. Bernard Scott is the Cub Scout Master in charge and is assisted by Alistair Clements. The badges were presented by Len Maddock, Group Scoutmaster, and Mrs Maureen Carvell, District Cub Scout Commissioner.
