SANTA swapped his sleigh for a Sea King helicopter - and made a special landing in the school field at St Neot.

Children gathered below to watch the special visitor land, and were delighted to hand over the letters they had written to the man in red himself.

A school spokesperson said: ‘Santa gave each of the children a small gift and talked to them for 45 minutes before taking off.

‘Our thanks to Lieutenant Commander ‘Tank’ Murray and his crew who made this experience so special for the whole school.’
