New flashboat
WIND, rain, and gathering gloom were ignored when Saltash rowing club's new flashboat 'Charity' was launched by the mayor, Bryan Preston, at the sailing club.
Before the launch, club secretary Nicola Hasell received a £500 cheque from Mona Tomaszewska on behalf of 'Awards to All' for construction of the boat at Penryn, and £500 from Saltash Partnerships for the purchase of flash tops. Also present were rowing club stalwarts Steve Kent and James Howell.
