The Prince of Wales (known as The Duke of Cornwall when he visits the South West) and The Duchess of Cornwall will make their annual visit to the South West next week.

This year’s visit will focus on the region’s local businesses, from the artisan producers who help bolster the area’s food and drink sector to innovative firms such as Finisterre, which creates sustainable outdoor clothing in Cornwall.

The Prince, who is well known for his advocacy on environmental issues, will attend part of the Ocean Plastic Solutions Day, organised by Surfers Against Sewage, in collaboration with Finisterre.

Another highlight will be a visit to the Isles of Scilly on Tuesday.

In addition, the royal couple will show their support for local communities. The Duchess will attend a reception to mark the 15th anniversary of the Cornwall Community Foundation, of which she is patron.
