Crews will start to arrive at Lerryn at around 4 pm. A crew briefing and handicaps will be decided at around 4.4.0 pm. The first crew will set off at 5 pm, crews will then be set off at minute intervals. The crews race down river and will finish off at Fowey Town Quay. The King Of Prussia pub will host the presentation at around 7 pm. CRA clubs have been invited to attend the race, (Polperro, Mousehole, Saltash Boys Club, Trelawney, Penryn, Calstock and Looe) as well as Gig clubs from around the county.
The Celtic 4-Oar Rowing championship will be held at Hayle over the weekend of May 6 and 7.
The event will be organised by the Cornwall Rowing Association. As well as the Cornwall Rowing Association clubs, there will be other clubs from the west of England and from Wales and Ireland too.
