AN Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) roadshow will be visiting Polperro on Tuesday. Since 1959 several areas in Cornwall including Fowey to Polperro and the Rame Peninsula have been designated as AONBs and protected in law. As part of the roadshow, local people are being asked to bring along photographs, pictures and stories relating to the landscape of their local AONB area. They will also have the chance to speak to officials about local landscape issues. Visitors will be able to learn more about their local AONB, view slideshows and interpretation boards as well as look at pictures and maps. The roadshow will also give feedback on the AONB Management Plan. Jim Philp, the county councillor for Polperro, said: 'Polperro and its coastal area is the jewel in the crown of South East Cornwall and needs every consideration of its unique character. Please come and learn more about this unique area.' The event will be held at Polperro Village Hall, in the Youth Room, between 2pm and 8pm.
