CORNWALL’S TV star Rick Stein is hosting a three-day food and drink festival at his pub in St Merryn.
Between Friday March 18 and 20, Rick and Jill Stein will host their annual Beer and Mussel Festival at their pub, The Cornish Arms.
Throughout the three day festival, visitors can enjoy more than 40 beers and ciders from breweries around the country.
On the menu is Rick’s new Butrint mussels and some of his favourite dishes including moules mariniére, Goan chicken curry and Goan vegetable curry.
Cornish comedian Kernow King will open the festival on Friday evening. Saturday morning will begin with a Rick Stein book signing followed by chef demos from Jack Stein and Stuart Pate. Four piece local band Rubix will perform at 1pm, a live screening of the rugby six nations championship will start at 2.30pm and then the popular Motown Pirates will perform later on in the evening.
Suitable for the whole family, Sunday’s line-up will include chef demos from Stephane Delourme and Alex Clark, a pub quiz and live music from traditional shanty singers, Boscastle Buoys as well as Josh Curnow.
