Cornwall Council has revealed the bulging salaries of its top officers.

The figures show that chief executive Kevin Lavery earns £200,000 – far more than the £142,000 salary paid to Prime Minister David Cameron.

The massive cuts being bought in by councils have led to the pay of top officers coming under increasing scrutiny.
