Figures released this week show that more than 30 senior Cornwall Council officers were paid £100,000-plus in the last financial year.

The figures, which include pension contributions and compensation for redundancy or termination of contract, show that 33 senior officers at the council received more than £100,000, with chief executive Kevin Lavery the highest earner at £239,000.
