The double AA rosette award-winning Mannings Restaurant will be taking up temporary tented residence within the members’ area at the Royal Cornwall Show on June 7, 8 and 9.

Scott Young, operations director at Truro-based Mannings Hotel for three years, along with the 50 strong team he will bring with him, will create a world buffet to be served during the first two show days.

A smorgasbord will focus on Cornish meat, poultry, fish, shellfish, dairy and fresh vegetables.

The tented village that surrounds the members’ lawn will offer a further five places to eat and drink.

Christopher Riddle, show secretary, said catering for the show’s members was a direct way of supporting Cornwall’s food industry.

He said: ‘The core aim of the show is to promote local agriculture and food production, with Cornish produce held in such high regard it’s only right that we’re doing that by serving the very best of it for our members.’
