The Liskeard branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) has announced that it raised a record amount of £23,542.12 for the Poppy Appeal last year.

The branch is thanking the people in the town and surrounding district for their support.

A meeting will be held at the RBL club in the town at 7pm on Friday, October 21, for volunteers to discuss this year’s Poppy Appeal.
