Almost 600 young runners battled torrential rain and muddy conditions during a cross country race at Landrake.
It was the 30th annual cross country run staged by Sir Robert Geffery's School and attracted runners from more than 30 other schools.
The tough course took the children across fields, up and down hills, along a wooded track, down a steep slope and across a salt marsh by the banks of the River Lynher.
