A crowded sixth form common room was the scene for the annual Liskeard school quiz.

The event was led by the head teacher, Alan Sedgley, as question master, and organised by the LISCCA committee.

A total of 22 battled it out for the spoils, the questions ranging from the academic to the absurd. The team 'Starfried' emerged as winners with 'Six of the Best' a close second and 'Mainly Perspiration and Trust to Luck' third. 'Team Gremlins' picked up the booby prize, with 'Balaam' winning the inter-sixth form division. Profits will go towards school funds.
