Year 6 pupils from Liskeard Hillfort Primary School visited the town museum to view an exhibition of the work they had been done for a Second World War project.
Following on from their studies into the conflict, the pupils were given a project in last year's October half-term to take on an aspect and produce a model, book or on-screen presentation.
The result was some excellent work, including bomb shelters, trenches, a tank, wartime gardens, weapons, books and posters, which was judged by teachers. During the museum visit, book vouchers were presented to the six project winners.
Assistant headteacher Vanessa Morrison said: 'This has been a very worthwhile exercise for the children who have learned a lot from it and enjoyed the project. It is excellent that the wider community will be able to view their work here at the museum.'
Year 6 teacher Jon Finch said that all the pupils were to be congratulated on the big effort they had put into the project.
