I Would like to express a big thank you to my local postman, who has helped me a great deal in the last few weeks.
As an elderly resident, I have found it very difficult since the closure of the post office at West Looe.
My postie has helped me by providing important information and by posting and, of course, still delivering my mail.
With Christmas getting close it is important that we recognise the local service that these people provide.
My postman tells me that he may not be here after Christmas because the Royal Mail is continuing to cut costs. I have already lost my local post office, I hope I don't lose my postman as well.

A Post Office spokesperson said: 'We have no plans to reduce staff numbers or make changes to Royal Mail buildings in these areas. We continually review our operation to make sure it runs as efficiently as possible and provides a good service to customers.'
