Mark of Friendship came back down to earth after last week's 8-1 victory at the Wilcove Warriors, this time losing away to the Wheelers 5-4. P Jones, M Waters and A Waters all singles winners here for the Wheelers B with R Perrens, J West and D Dillon replying for the Mark. Mark then led 4-3 after the first three doubles only to lose the next two matches and overall by 5-4.
200 Club A were all level at 3-3 in the singles at home to the King Pins with M Bowden, C Allsop and T Endean all winning for the 200 Club A and K Harris, N A Miller and M Lyon replying. King Pins led 4-3 after the first doubles then captain Trevor Endean handed the match to the King Pins after potting the black but also going on the white. 200 A did take the last doubles to lose on the night by 5-4. Great win for Naomi Miller for King Pins against Karl Davies by 2-0.
Carbeile C have kept their side going and find themselves in second place with a 5-4 win at Millbrook FC. They led 4-2 after the singles thanks to R Stones, D Lorimer, D Edwards and B Keegan. They then took the all important point from the first doubles. Millbrook did pull back with the last two doubles matches.
Wilcove Warriors are back on course for the title after getting over their setback last week. They overcame a very strong and in-form Carbeile B 6-3. J Cook, M Humphries, I Jenkins and B Sampson made it 4-2 in the singles with the Warriors also taking the first two doubles for a 6-3 win. Brian Sampson having an eight ball clearance for the Warriors.
Wilcove Hotshots went up to fifth in the league this week with a hard fought 5-4 win over the 200 B. G Bettinson, L Fearnley and C Deacon winning for the Hotshots with L Rodmell, P Ford and M Lee replying for 200 B. Hotshots edged in front 4-3 only for the 200 B to level at 4-4. Hotshots won the deciding doubles through Tony Walsh and Paul Argrave.
Kings A were another team to win on the deciding doubles by 5-4 at home to Mosquito Sailing Club. They led through Ian Cante, M Bright, M Awastasoy and S McCann and took the match on the last doubles through S McCann and M Bright. Mosquito singles winners were Ryan Goddard and Andy Welch.
