Pupils at Polperro Primary School are among the funniest in the country, says comedian Harry Hill.
The Beano comic is running a competition to find the best joke told in a primary school class - and Polperro’s wisecrack is on the top ten shortlist, as judged by Harry.
The contest is part of research carried out by Beano into the things that most make us laugh.
Seeing people trip over or hearing them break wind are guaranteed to induce a fit of the giggles whatever age you are, says the comic - and for children, watching their parents trying to use technology or say slang words are among the best funny moments.
The new research reveals that laughing is infectious with seven in ten (73%) saying they have caught the giggles off someone even if they weren’t sure why they were laughing and 77% admitting they have had an uncontrollable “attack of the giggles” in the past. ?
