A DEVONWALL Parliamentary constituency is back on the agenda.
Just weeks after Liberal Democrat Lord Tyler hailed the end of the ‘unpopular’ proposal, Boundary Commission proposals have loomed again.
The leader of Mebyon Kernow – the Party for Cornwall has called on the Prime Minister to scrap a boundary review that would lead to the creation of a cross-Tamar constituency.
He was speaking after the Boundary Commission announced revised proposals for constituencies for the next General Election – which included the cross-Tamar seat combining North Cornwall and North Devon.
Cllr Dick Cole said: ‘We will certainly be continuing with our campaigns to protect the territorial integrity of Cornwall, and for Cornwall to be treated as a distinct entity for the purposes of governance.’
