South East Cornwall Conservative MP Sheryll Murray has offered her congratulations to Theresa May.

Mrs Murray had backed Andrea Leadsom in the Tory party leadership election, but Mrs Leadsom pulled out of the race this morning.

Mrs May now looks set to be crowned party leader and become Prime Minister.

Mrs Murray said Mrs Leadsom had been ’very dignified’.
