Residents in Launceston and the surrounding parishes are invited to a Community Network Panel to hear about the future of local government and the role of town and parish councils at the Guildhall in Launceston Town Hall on Thursday September 26, from 7pm.

Cornwall’s Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Neighbourhoods Edwina Hannaford will give a presentation on the future of localism and emerging role of town and parish councils. Also on the agenda is increasing the level of affordable homes in rural areas.

Community network panels are an opportunity for the public to engage with what’s happening in their local area, to speak to their town, parish and Cornwall councillors and shape the future of where they live.

Launceston Community Network Panel covers the parishes of Altarnun, Boyton, Egloskerry, Laneast, Lawhitton, Lewannick, Lezant, North Hill, North Petherwin, South Petherwin, St Stephen by Launceston, St Thomas the Apostle, Stoke Climsland, Trewen and Werrington.
