Thousands of ballot papers are being prepared as Cornwall gears up for local election day. Residents will vote for their chosen representatives on Cornwall Council, and in some cases for local parish and town councils, on Thursday, May 4.

There are 448 candidates each hoping to win one of Cornwall Council’s 123 seats this year.
