LISKEARD residents will go to the polls on Thursday (January 18) to elect a new town councillor.
Two candidates have put themselves forward to represent the town’s East Ward: Nick Craker, who is currently a Cornwall Councillor for Liskeard, and who is a case worker for MP Sheryll Murray; and Sandra Mitchell, who works at Liskeard’s Co-operative store, and describes herself as a ‘hard-working, community-driven grandmother’.
Voting will be open from 7am to 10pm at the St Martins Church Centre, Church Street, Liskeard.
