Large letters in the sand on Looe Beach spelled out a message of support for embattled Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Around 20 activists and their families gathered in East Looe on Monday as part of a Cornwall-wide initiative started by artist Stacie Guthrie. Similar messages appeared on 30 beaches across the county.
‘Expressions of solidarity with Jeremy Corbyn have been shown across Corwnwall,’ said Leah Browning of the South East Cornwall People’s Assembly Against Austerity. ‘Mr Corbyn is a beacon of hope for many, as he signals an end to the political choice of cruel, unnecessary austerity measures, and the privatisation of public services.’
