The public are invited to give their thoughts on how decisions about public services in Cornwall should be made in the future in an online poll.

John Pollard, leader of Cornwall Council, has already held a series of public events across Cornwall to hear views in person but now anyone who was not able to get to one of the seven events is invited to give their views online.

Questions  include: Is the current cabinet and leader system the best way for Cornwall to be governed? Do you want to keep things as they are or change to the older committee style Council, or would you prefer a Mayor for Cornwall?

The Review is looking at three possible models: a leader and cabinet system, an elected Mayor and cabinet system, and a committee system.

The Council could also develop a different model entirely but it would require Government approval.

Any changes to the current system will be introduced, to coincide with the local elections, in May 2021.
